(Nashville, Tenn.) June 10, 2008 – With a significant Billboard Magazine cover feature impacting news stands last week (June 7 edition), Third Day returns to the headlines by claiming the No. 1 spot on Radio & Records’ Christian AC-Monitored, AC-Indicator and CHR radio charts, as well as CRW’s AC radio chart. “Call My Name” is the first single from the band’s upcoming Revelation (July 29) project, and reached the No. 1 spot on said charts in just nine weeks. According to Christian Radio Weekly, “Call My Name” has reached an incredible 22.5 million in cumulative listener impressions in that nine-week span, making it equal to the No. 11 song at Top 40 radio, and the No. 8 song at Country radio. This achievement marks Third Day’s 25th No. 1 radio single.
“We’re overwhelmed by the support of our fans and all of the radio station partners we’ve considered friends for years. When you put a new set of songs out, like we are with the release of Revelation, you wonder what people will think, so hearing that it went number one is such great encouragement to us!” shares Mac Powell.
Following the release of Revelation, the band will hit the road for summer festival appearances and the highly anticipated Music Builds Tour with Switchfoot, Robert Randolph & the Family Band and Jars of Clay. (Please visit www.musicbuildstour.com for updated information.)
